 General Information

Please join us at the Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast for absolutely fabulous accommodations less than 1 mile from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
If you imagining the Big Island of Hawaii with tropical rainforests, rumbling volcanoes, tumbling waterfalls, orchards of tropical fruits, sweeping ocean views and blue surf beaches - then you are right!

And if you've chosen to visit possibly one of the world's most active (and safest, drive-in) volcanoes at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, then there’s probably no better accommodations than right here at the ALoha Junction B&B! You can't find a better place to witness and experience the awesome spectacle of Pele's timeless battle between the elemental forces of fire and water.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere is what travelers receive when they arrive at the Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfastt. Your host, Robert, welcomes each and every one of our guests and acquaints them with the parking, our house and their room. He's always there to answer concerns about how to get in and out of the gate with the remote-controller, what's for breakfast, local restaurants, and prime places to go and see.

Breakfast is usually served around 8 AM each day. So get ready for a feast of the senses! While you're helping yourself to that first cup of coffee, beautiful Hawaiian music will be playing in the background. Other guests will join you as you congregate towards the fireplace and "talk story" about your adventures and exchange advice.

By then you'll be ready to be served your first course ~ yummmmm, like our popular "Papaya Boat" loaded with local bananas and fresh squeezed lemons. Robert makes sure nobody goes away from the table hungry!

That will be followed by the "dish of the day" ~ anything from Macadamia-nut & Blueberry pancakes, to eggs and hashbrown, and always a sausage or two.

For stays of 2 nights or more we provide complimentary coffee and cereals ...and of course, fresh tropical flowers.

~ Newly constructed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, with many upgrades.
~ Featuring vaulted ceilings, bamboo laminate flooring, indoor laundry, and huge master bedroom.
~ Washer/Dryer located between Master bedroom and Kitchen
~ 2-Guest Rooms located on opposite side of Master Bedroom for privacy
~ Custom kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances.
~ French doors lead leading from dining area lanai ~ great for entertaining!
~ Fully functioning telephone, Dish TV, and dial-up internet
~ Paved County roads
~ Property is completely fenced and gated
~ Huge 10,000 gallon water tank with filter and upgraded covering.

Directions from Hilo Airport (ITO)

Turn LEFT onto Highway 11 from the airport and drive south (up hill) through Keaau, Kurtistown and Mt. View Villages. After you pass the 25-mile marker, look for signs leading you into the Volcano Village. Most people turn RIGHT on Wright Road....the first of 3 entrances. At the stop sign, turn LEFT, which puts you on the Old Volcano Road. Pass the Kilauea Lodge, Kilauea General Store, and the Ace Hardware/Thai-Thai Restaurant.Pass HAUNANAI ROAD.... and just past the Volcano General Store ~ Turn RIGHT ~ our big, oval ALOHA JUNCTION B&B is standing at the top of our driveway. (If you drive past the Post Office, you’ve gone too far.) Go down the driveway, pass one house on the left and then give us a call ~ or a light “toot” at the gate. We’ll show you where to park, find your room, hand over a Remote Control gate opener and get acquainted!
